AI Cyclothon to spread awareness on ill-effects of Corruption

National carrier Air India today organised a cycle rally 'cyclothon' here to celebrate the 'Vigilance Awareness Week' and spread awareness on ill-effects of corruption.

Around 60 cyclists took part in the meet, covering a distance of 15 km, starting from Eco Park Gate No 3 and ending at the same location via Kolkata NSCBI Airport.

Organised in collaboration with the Cycle Network Grow (CNG), The 'cyclothon' was flagged off at 0615 hours by cricketer Jhulan Goswami, who is also an officer with Air India in Kolkata. Other senior executives of Air India were also present on the occasion.

The AI, all over its network, is observing Vigilance Awareness Week from October 30 to November 4 with the theme: "My Vision: Corruption Free India" to promote awareness on the ill-effects of corruption in the society.
 

Besides cyclothon, school debates, street theatres, essay-writing competition for employees and their relatives and seminars have been organised to create awareness on the evils of corruption.

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) also celebrated the 'Vigilance Awareness Week' at the NSCBI Airport here to spread awareness on ill-effects of corruption.
