AIADMK seeks CBI probe into crimes
The opposition AIADMK (Amma) today urged Lt Governor Kiran Bedi to intervene and arrange for a CBI probe into murders took place in the Union Territory for nearly a month now.
Addressing reporters here Legislature wing leader of the opposition AIADMK (Amma) A Anbalagan said that people were worried over 'unchecked' rise murders in Puducherry.
Most of the crimes related to attempts to grab properties and hence a probe by CBI would be of help to ensure peace in Puducherry, he said.
He also expressed concern over non-availability of 25 per cent quota for the students of Puducherry in various courses in Pondicherry Central University.
