AIADMK today swapped the Vellore assembly seat with its ally Manithaneya Jananayaga Katchi (MJK) for the Tamil Nadu polls to be held on May 16.
MJK was originally given Oddanchathiram seat.
In a statement, AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa said the party is withdrawing its candidate named for Vellore and instead announced K Kittusamy as its nominee from Oddanchathiram.
Jayalalithaa had earlier named former MLA P Neelakandan for the Vellore seat.
MJK has been alloted two seats by the AIADMK.
