A student of All India Institute of Medical Science, Bhubaneswar went missing after being swept deep into the sea while taking bath here today.
A group of students from the AIIMS had gone to the port area on a picnic and the mishap took place when they were taking bath at the Mahanadi river mouth as one of them was swept away by strong current, the police said.
Efforts were on to trace the missing student, identified as Asil from kerala, police said adding some boats including a marine boat have been engaged in the search operation.
