Kicking off the month-long plantation of saplings across Jharkhand, Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said all round development is a collective responsibility.
As the Chief Minister started the plantation through a 102-year-old woman Ramdulari Devi and 96-year-old Saraswati Devi, 75,000 saplings were planted in areas between Patratu Thermal Power Plant and Jindal Steel Plant in Ramgarh district, an official release said.
Saying all round development was a collective responsibility, Das stressed upon water management and conservation.

He said governance and people's coordination would help in development and Jharkhand would become a role model of development.
As the state began the plantation festival with an aim to plant one crore saplings this month, Das said the festival should not be just a formality as it has begun from a village.
