All UP districts to have video cameras

In a bid to make law and order more effective in Uttar Pradesh, it has been decided to provide video cameras to all the districts.

A home department spokesman said that Rs 2 lakh each has been provided to the district police chiefs by the DGP headquarters at Allahabad.

Principal Secretry (Home) A K Gupta said videopgraphy of petty incidents during festivals and elections would be done to identify troublemakers.
