Aluminium futures up on strong demand

Aluminium prices moved up by 0.43 per cent to Rs 105.65 per kg in futures trade today as participants strengthened their positions, supported by a strong demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in the current month inched up 45 paise or 0.43 per cent to Rs 105.65 per kg in a business turnover of 170 lots.

Marketmen concluded a firming trend in the base metal at the domestic spot markets, mainly influenced the aluminium prices in futures trade here.
