Amalgam for resolving Kashmir issue on priority basis

"We support efforts aimed at improving ties between India and Pakistan but there should be no negative politics of putting the Kashmir issue in cold storage.

"The leadership of the two countries should resolve the issue on priority to ensure peace in the south Asian region," the amalgam said in a resolution passed at a public meeting here.

Moderate Hurriyat chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other separatist leaders like Abdul Gani Bhat, Maulana Abbas Ansari and Bilal Gani Lone addressed the public meeting held at Sopore in Baramulla district.

The resolution said the dialogue process would not be successful without inclusion of representatives of people of Kashmir
