Actor Amit Sadh has learnt how to operate a rifle from noted Indian shooter Gagan Narang, for his role in Tigmanshu Dhulia's film.

To make the rifle shooting scene appear realistic in Dhulia's next film, Amit sought help from his friend Gagan Narang, who won the bronze medal in the 2012 London Olympics' air rifle event.

"Gagan Narang is one of my closest friends and he is my mentor. I'm glad he agreed to be my mentor and help me out with shooting. I was good at shooting," Amit said in a statement here.

"I did the combined annual training camp for NCC and it was an interesting experience. In the context of my character, I am a pistol-shooter," he said.

The "Kai Po Che" actor also plans to attend shooting tournaments to practice at the actual shooting ranges.

"I am attending a tournament in Pune from December 12 and spending time at the shooting range," he added.
