Amy Adams circling 'Story of Your Life'

'American Hustle' star Amy Adams is in talks to star in 'Story of Your Life', which is an adaptation of author Ted Chiang.

The film will be directed by Denis Villeneuve from a script by Eric Heisserer.

Adams will play a linguist who is recruited by the military to determine whether the group of aliens that have landed on earth come in peace or are a threat, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The producers are eyeing a start next year.
