One death due to Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) in the last 24 hours was reported from North Dinajpur district, a health official said today.
The toll in the state due to different types of Encephalitis thus rose to 215, West Bengal Health Services Director Biswaranjan Satpathy told PTI today, adding, that the death was reported from North Dinajpur's Islampur.
Meanwhile, seven suspected cases were reported from six districts of southern part of the state in the last 24 hours, Satpathy said.
Two suspected cases from Bardhaman, while one each from Hooghly, Murshidabad, Paschim Midnapore, Nadia and Kolkata were reported in the last 24 hours, he added.
