Ansel Elgort wants to work in a musical

Actor Ansel Elgort says he wants to be in a musical and would even consider writing and directing it himself.

The 23-year-old actor, who is also a musician, wishes to combine his talents into one production, reported Variety.

"I already have an idea for a movie where I'd be able to sing in it. Especially after working with Edgar, I'd like to write and direct as well," Elgort says.

The "Fault in Our Stars" actor says he never worries about the money as long as the subject excites him.

"For me it's three things when I look at a project. It's script, character, director. Nothing else matters -- the money doesn't matter or the budget," he says.
