'Ant-Man' director Peyton Reed in talks to return for sequel

Marvel Studios is in negotiations with Peyton Reed to return as director of "Ant-Man and the Wasp".

The film, which will star Paul Rudd in the lead role, has been scheduled for July, 2018 release, said The Hollywood Reporter.

Edgar Wright, Joe Cornish, Adam McKay and Rudd were the credited writers on the first film. However, no writers have been roped in yet for the sequel.

"Ant-Man" went on to earn USD 455 million worldwide.

The character will next be seen in 2015's "Captain America: Civil War".
