AP: 91.4 per cent of students who took SSC exam cleared it

As much as 91.42 percent of the regular students who appeared for the class tenth Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination, held in March this year, have passed, said the Andhra Pradesh HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao here today.

In all 6,44,961 candidates (6,06,575 regular and rest private) had registered for the examination this year, he said, announcing the results.

Among the girls, 91.71 per cent passed, while for boys the percentage of passed students was 91.15.

As many as 3,645 schools secured 100 per cent result, while two schools did not have a single candidate who passed.

In Kadapa, 98.54 percent of candidates -- highest in the state -- passed. Chittoor district registered lowest 71.29 percent result.
 

Private schools secured 96.62 percent result while municipal schools 83.72 percent.

Rao said the supplementary SSC examination will be held from June 18 to July 1 and the last date for payment of fee is June 2.
