Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and several other senior leaders conveyed their greetings to the people here today on New Year's eve.
In a message, Reddy hoped that 2014 will bring peace, joy and cheer to the people and progress to Andhra Pradesh in all sectors.
"The state made rapid strides on the path of development in the last three years, particularly in 2013, despite a difficult situation prevailing in the state (due to the issue of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh)," he said.

He said that it was a matter of pride that Andhra Pradesh bagged the award for the "best performing state in governance" at the prestigious India Today 'State of the States' conclave in New Delhi.
As per customary practice, the Andhra Pradesh Governor would be available to exchange pleasentries with the public and leaders of civil society at the Raj Bhavan tomorrow, an official release said here today.
Union Tourism Minister Chiranjeevi and YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy have also conveyed greetings to the people on New Year's eve.
