AP govt presents sarees to Kanakdurga

Andhra Pradesh government today presented silk sarees to goddess Kanakadurga here which has been a convention to mark the Dussehra festival.

State Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao presented the sarees on the day of 'Mula Nakshatra' to the deity.

Rao told the reporters that Dussehra will be celebrated as a state festival in future.
