Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is facing political trouble with his colleagues in the state Cabinet up in arms against him for "totally ignoring" them and taking unilateral decisions.

The ministers are getting ready to complain against the Chief Minister to the Congress high command as his actions "could cause harm" to the party, sources said today.

Led by Deputy Chief Minister C Damodar Rajanarasimha, a group of ministers met at the residence of Pradesh Congress Committee president and Transport Minister Botsa Satyanarayana here today and discussed the fallout of Kiran Kumar's "hasty actions".

"The haste at which new schemes are being announced is creating rather avoidable confusion among the party cadre. It will damage the party interests instead of deriving any political benefit as we are unable to take the schemes to the people effectively," the ministers pointed out.

The ministers who attended the meeting lamented that they themselves had no knowledge about the new schemes being announced.

They are also angry that even vital policy decisions are not brought before the Cabinet for discussion.

The PCC chief was on record saying that he had no clue about the Chief Minister's latest scheme "Bangaru Talli", a cash transfer benefit programme for the girl child.

The Chief Minister announced the scheme in Medak on Saturday, two days after TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu promised to introduce "Mahalakshmi" scheme to provide financial assistance to girl child.

The Deputy Chief Minister has been seething that the Chief Minister did not even take him into confidence while announcing the "Indiramma Kalalu" (Indira's dreams) programme, which was intended to propagate the legal framework given to the SC and ST special component plans.

Rajanarasimha feels that it was he, as head of the Cabinet sub-committee, who did all the ground work related to the formulation SC and ST SCP Act but was totally kept in the dark about Indiramma Kalalu.

This resulted in a face-off between the CM and the Deputy CM, forcing the latter to stay away from the much-hyped programme in many districts of the state.
