Ariel Winter postpones college until 2017

Actress Ariel Winter is putting her college plans on hold for a year because she's too busy with "Modern Family."

The 18-year-old plays student Alex Dunphy on the hit US comedy, and she was hoping to juggle filming commitments with her new studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) this autumn (16).

However, Winter reveals she has since deferred her start date until 2017.

"Unfortunately... Due to production schedule, I have to start next year. So, I will be starting as a Bruin next year," Winter said.
