Armistic Day Memorial Service observed

People who had laid down their lives during World War I and II were remembered at the Armistic Day memorial service organised by the three armed forces here today.

The Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Consulate Generals of various nations and British Deputy High Commission here conducted the Armistice Day as a mark of respect to those who laid their lives at the 335 year old St Mary's Church at Fort St George here today, an official release said.

Armistice Day Memorial Service was observed on the second Sunday of November as a memory to all those who lost their lives in World War I and II, it said.
 

"Major General SK Panigrahi, Chief of Staff, Dakshin Bhart, Brigadier KS Selvan and Commander, Station Headquarters and officials from Armed Forces laid the wreaths on the occasion", it said.
