Arms, ammunition recovered in Sopore

Police assisted by Rashtriya Rifles conducted a search operation in the forest area of Chatoosa in Sopore, 52 kms from here, and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition, a police spokesman said.

The seizure included a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) launcher, two under barrel grenade launcher, an AK 47 short barrel rifle and three AK 47 magazines with 96 rounds, the spokesman said.

However, no one was arrested during the operation, the spokesman said.
