Arms smuggler arrested in Rajasthan

Sleuths of ATS and Special Operation Group (SOG) today arrested an alleged inter-state arm smuggler and four pistols loaded with magazine and 46 live cartridges were seized from him near Bagru, a sub-urban town here.

The accused was identified as Lakhan of Dhar District in Madhya Pradesh, Additional DG of SOG and ATS Alok Tripathi said.

The accused had brought this consignment in a bag from one Ishwar Sardar of Dhar and was on his way to Gurgaon for its delivery, the ADG said.

Lakhan was booked under Arms Act, he said, adding, the matter is being investigated.
