Army jawan commits suicide in Reasi

An Army jawan allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, a police officer said.

Lance Naik Ram Siya (33), a native of Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh, committed suicide by hanging himself inside the Uniform force headquarters in the Seela area today, a police officer said.

Ruling out any foul play, the officer said it was a clear case of suicide and added that the body has been sent to the district hospital for post-mortem.

A case has been registered and the matter is being probed, he added.
