Army, Police joint team arrests suspected KLO terrorist

Acting on specific intelligence, the Army and Assam Police today arrested a suspected Kamtapur Liberation Oragnisation (KLO) terrorist in a joint operation.

The operation was conducted in Jaldoba in Kokrajhar district in the wee hours of today.

One 9-mm pistol, two hand grenades and some live rounds were recovered from the arrested terrorist, Army sources said.

Meanwhile, a joint team of Army and police launched an operation in Chapar in Dhubri district.

A member of the Muslim United Liberation Tigers of Assam (MULTA) was arrested. One 9-mm pistol, one .22-mm rifle, 2.75 kg of TNT, 10 electric detonators and some live rounds were recovered from the arrested, the sources said.
