Army seizes arms and ammunition in Kangpokpi Ridge

Arms and ammunition were seized by the army from Kangpokpi Ridge, a government press release said here today.

The seized weapons included one AK-56 rifle with magazine, 25 rounds of AK-56 Rifle, 15 rounds of 5.56 mm ammunition and other war like stores.

The arms were seized on November 3 when troops were conducting an operation after receiving information about presence of militants belonging to Kuki Unification Frontal Organisation (KUFO), the release added.
