Army today sent a group of 25 students of remote and far-flung areas of Ramban district on a ten day educational-cum-motivational tour to Delhi and Secunderabad under its "Operation Sadbhavana".
The tour was flagged off by the Commanding Officer of Rashtriya Rifles battalion based at Gul in Ramban district, defence spokesman S N Acharya said here.
The tour's aim is to showcase the country's development to the youth from remote and far flung areas and also provide them with an opportunity to visit important places of interest, interact with people and eminent personalities of those regions and widening their horizon, he said.

The students will get an opportunity to visit prestigious industries, establishments and historic monuments in Delhi and Secunderabad, Acharya said, adding that they will also get an opportunity to interact with senior Army officers.
The initiative taken by the Army will be an eye-opener for the youth, he added.
