Around 23 people are
suspected to have been affected by diarrhoea at Nuagam in Kandhamal district, an official said today.
While villagers have claimed that some patients are in a serious condition and their number is rising since last week, Dr Jaypal Senapaty of Daringbadi Community Health Centre said people consumed contaminated water due to absence of safe drinking water sources in the village.
