Artifacts found in unclaimed baggage

A handbag containing miniature antiquities and ancient coins was found in the domestic airport here today, officials said.

During routine surveillance, CISF personnel found the handbag in the departure area of the airport here this evening and alerted the local police.

Police deputed bomb disposal personnel who found that the bag had miniature antiquities and ancient coins.

According to the personnel, nothing suspicious was found in the bag.

Authorities suspect that a passenger may have missed the bag in a hurry.
