Asia Cup: Three held for betting in MP

Three persons were arrested for allegedly betting on a cricket match played yesterday during the ongoing Asis Cup in Bangladesh, police said today.

"Acting on a tip-off, we raided an apartment under Aerodrome police station area and nabbed S Shyambihari, K Sriwas and S Jain, while they were accepting bets on the T-20I played between Pakistan and United Arab Emirates," a police official said.

A television, two laptops, 24 mobile phones and betting chits were seized from their possession, he added.

A case has been registered and investigations are underway, he said.
