The Assam government today effected changes in the police brass transferring four IPS officers of the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) rank.
ADGP (Law and Order) A P Rout has been transferred and posted as ADGP (Special Task Force), a release from the Home and Political Principal Secretary M G V K Bhanu said.
Present ADGP (Special Task Force) R M Singh has been transferred and posted as ADGP (Law and Order), it said.
ADGP (Communication) Pradeep Kumar and ADGP (Modernisation and Logistics) A K Jha have also been transferred to each other's posts.
ADGP (State Fire and Emergency) Umesh Kumar has been relieved from the charge of Logistics, the release added.
