Assembly adopts resolution on opening HC bench in Dumka

Jharkhand Assembly today unanimously adopted a resolution urging the Centre to initiate the process of opening a bench of the Jharkhand High Court in Dumka.

After JMM MLA Stephen Marandi raised the demand, Parliamentary Affairs Minister C P Singh initiated the resolution.

Speaker Dinesh Oraon adopted it saying the unanimous resolution by the House be conveyed to the Centre with a request in this regard.

Dumka is the sub-capital of Jharkhand.
