The CBI today nabbed an assistant director of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises - Development Institute (MSME-DI) red-handed for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a complainant, an official statement said.
Assistant director D K Nayak demanded bribe from the complainant company to clear its file for renewal of National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) registration. He had conducted inspection of the company concerned last Friday.
The assistant director yesterday asked the complainant to pay the bribe by this afternoon or face the risk of delay, the statement further said.

The CBI caught him red-handed accepting the bribe and searches are being conducted at his office and residential premises for further leads.
