'Aster Rose' wins first classic Hyderabad race

Favourite 'Aster Rose', ably ridden by S John, won The Duccan Fillies Championship Stakes, distance about 1600 metres, the first classic of the Hyderabad Monsoon Races held here today.

The winner was trained by A.M'galorkar.

Jockey P S Chouhan scored a double.

Six first favourites obliged in a card of seven events.
