At least 9 killed in Kazakhstan apartment building collapse

At least nine people were killed after an apartment building partially collapsed in the village of Shakhan in central Kazakhstan, local authorities said today.

"Nine dead people were pulled from the rubble," the interior ministry's emergencies committee said in a statement, adding that the collapse had taken place yesterday.
