Chaudhary Avadesh Kumar was today elected unopposed as president of Volleyball Federation of India after Kuldeep Vats withdrew his candidature before the polls here today.
Vats and Kumar were set to engage in a straight fight for the post of VFI president but the former withdrew from the field before the elections this morning. There were no contest in the other remaining posts.
Justice (retd.) S K Krishnan was the returning officer for the elections.
Former Secretary of the VFI, K Murugan was appointed the CEO.
