Azad promises more primary health centres in JK

"The Union Ministry of Health is soon going to formulate a new scheme for three states -- Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal -- for which the criteria of sanctioning PHC will be a population of 12,000 and for sub-centres it will be a population of 2,500," he said at a public meeting here.

Azad also informed the gathering about free medical facilities being provided by the health department to pregnant women and new borns.
