Bachchan in Mumbai hospital for routine check up

Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan was admitted to Lilavati Hospital here this evening for a routine checkup, a source close to the actor said.

"Bachchan has been admitted to the hospital for a routine check up. There is nothing serious. He is fine and it is just a normal check up," the source said.

Bachchan, 75, is likely to undergo endoscopy before being discharged from the hospital, the source said.
