Baggage handling vehicle damaged as battery catches fire

The baggage handling vehicle of a private airliner suffered damage at the airport here today after its battery caught fire, police said.

The fire was immediately put off by the Fire and Rescue services after CISF personnel spotted the flames and alerted them, police said.

None was injured in the incident but the vehicle suffered some damage, they added.
