A 30 years old bakery owner from the powerloom town of Bhiwandi was today arrested by the police for firing upon another bakery owner.
Inspector R S Nimbalkar of Shanti Nagar police station said that according to the complainant Souiddin Bullan Siddiqui (45), owner of Super Star Bakery of Pirni Pada, Samad Saddar Siddiqui, a distant relation, fired upon him at around 7.30 yesterday morning outside his bakery.
Siddiqui ducked and saved himself, but the accused then hit him on the head with the revolver, police said.

According to the complaint, the attack was result of professional rivalry.
Police have registered a case of attempt to murder and further probe is on.
