The ban on movement of civilians from dusk to dawn along the International border with Pakistan here was extended by two months, a senior district official said today.

District Magistrate Abhinav Trikha said the movement of the civilians within the 500 metre of fencing and 1000 metre of the Indo-Pak border would be banned from 8 pm to 5 am.

However, the ban would not apply on the Army, BSF, CRPF, Home Guard and staff deployed on the border for special duty, the DM said in an official release.

The ban, which was earlier imposed on October 6, was in force until yesterday. The new orders will remain in force until February 3 next year, he said.

Trikha also imposed a ban on burning of any type of flaming material and construction within the area of 1000 metre of Army storage of Indian Army in Shikar Machhian, Dera Baba Nanak and Tibbri cantonment.
