Ban sharing or reporting of rape MMS: NCW

The National Commission for Women has recommended a blanket ban on sharing of a rape MMS or its reporting in the media, Haryana government spokesman said here today.

It also recommended speedy trial, strict punishment and holding of gender sensitisation programmes at the Gram Panchayats levels with equal participation of men and women, boys and girls.

The NCW has made these recommendations while taking a suo-motto cognisance of media reports about a gangrape of a woman by three persons, who also made a video clip of the incident and circulated it, the spokesman said.
