Bangla pilgrims in Midnapore for Sufi saint's urs

Over 200 pilgrims from Dhaka, including 71 children, arrived here by a special train this morning to participate in the 113th urs of Sufi saint Hazrat Syed Shah Murshid Ali Al Qaderi Al Baghdadi.
The urs began at his shrine at Jora masjid here today.
It draws devout Muslims from across the country as well as south Asian countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan every year.

Officials said the train with the pilgrims will leave tomorrow night.
Security has been tightened in and around the town by the police in view of the congregation of thousands of pilgrims on the occasion.
