Vice-Admiral Muhammad Farid Habib, Chief of the Naval Staff, Bangladesh Navy, today visited Jorasanko Thakur Bari, the ancestral home of Rabindranath Tagore, which is now part of Rabindra Bharati University campus.
During his hour-long stay at Tagore's house, he went round the galleries and viewed the articles used by the Nobel laureate.
Vice-Admiral Habib earlier visited Mumbai between November 3 and November 4 and interacted with Vice-Admiral S P S Cheema, the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command.
During his Mumbai visit, Vice Admiral Habib had acknowledged the role played by the Indian Armed Forces in the liberation of Bangladesh.
