Delhiites will savour the best of Bangladeshi handicrafts, clothing and leather goods as the annual fair of paramilitary BSF here will showcase India's eastern neighbour for the first time.

Exclusive stalls of the country will be put up by the wives welfare association of both the countries for three days from November 8-10 in front of the CGOs complex here.

"This year, Border Guard Bangladesh's SHIPKS --Simanto Paribar Kallyan Samiti- will participate in the three-day annual BSF mela.

"This will be first time that SHIPKS will display their stall in BSF mela as a part of goodwill gesture and friendly relations between the two countries," a Border Security Force (BSF) officer said.

BSF and BGB guard the Indo-Bangla borders on their respective frontiers.

A 12-member BGB delegation led by Dilshad Nahar Aziz, chief Patron of SHIPKS and wife of BGB Director General Maj Gen Aziz Ahmed will arrive here for the cultural and musical confluence of the border guards of the two countries.

The 'mela' will be inaugurated by Gursharan Kaur, wife of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

A host of artistic items, household goods and eatables will be put up for the public to be enjoyed over the weekend.

The families and wives of BSF troopers will also bring for sale handicrafts from across the country in the fair.
