Dejected over his fiancee telling him that she was already married, an officer of State Bank of India allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison at his residence here today.
Police said S Vignesh (33), posted at Kancheepuram, took the extreme step after his fiancee reportedly told him she had already married another person with whom she was in love with and that she had agreed to tie the knot with him only due to pressure from her parents."
Police said Vignesh was frustrated as the woman did not reply to his calls for the last one week.
