A bank official was killed and six others were injured in a road accident on the busy AT road in upper Assam's Jorhat district today, police sources said.
A Sivasagar-bound mini bus collided with an LPG cylinder laden truck in front of Central College at Kenduguri under Bhogdoi Police Station, the sources said.
The decease was identified as Anuj Gogoi (46), cash officer of State Bank of India Teok branch, who was on way to office, they said.
The six critically injured were teachers Raj Dutta, Neharika Burahgohain and Gitali Borgohain, besides Ditimoni Borthakur, Konkon Sarma and the driver of mini bus Pankaj Bora.
All the wounded were admitted to Jorhat Medical College Hospital, the sources added.
