Banks to remain open in Assam tomorrow

All banks will remain open tomorrow (March 30) in Assam in view of clearance of large number of pending bills and cheques in all the Treasuries of the state, a government notification today said.

"The Assam government vide a notification under the Negotiable Instruments (NI) Act, 1881 issued today has declared that all banks will remain open on March 30," a government release said.

The order has been issued in cancellation of the holiday on account of Good Friday tomorrow, the release said.
