Tainted top government official B K Bansal and his son, both of whom committed suicide yesterday by hanging themselves at their residence in Delhi, were cremated here today.
Bansal's nephew Naresh lit the pyres in the presence of the officer's brother Pawan and some relatives.
Nearly two months after his wife and daughter committed suicide, Bansal, out on a bail in a corruption case, allegedly hanged himself along with his son at their residence with their purported suicide notes claiming "harassment" by CBI.

The incident took place at the house of Bansal, Former Director General Corporate Affairs, in East Delhi's Neelkanth Apartments.
"Bansal hanged himself in the same bedroom where his wife Satyabala (57) had committed suicide in July while Yogesh hanged himself in same room where his sister Neha (27) had ended her life," a senior police officer had said.
Sixty-year-old Bansal was arrested on July 16 for allegedly accepting bribe from a prominent pharma company. Three days later, his wife and daughter committed suicide.
Bansal and his son Yogesh (31) had named some CBI officers in their purported suicide notes alleging they had been "harassing" them.
