The wholesale grains market depicted a better trend today as barley and bajra prices went up by up to Rs 30 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today due to increased offtake by consuming industries.
However, other grains including rice basmati traded in a tight range in scattered support and settled around previous levels.
Traders said pick up in demand from consuming industries amid restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in barley prices.
