BCKV students block road alleging attack by outsiders

The agitating students of the Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya (BCKV) in Nadia district blocked a road Wednesday alleging that they were attacked by outsiders inside the campus, police said.

The students blocked the Haringhata-Kanchrapara road in front of the university demanding action against outsiders who entered the campus and allegedly attacked them, the police said.

The blockade was later lifted, they added.

The students of the BCKV are agitating since September 7 demanding the removal of the Dean (Agriculture) Srikanth Das and Dean Students Welfare (DSW) Goutam Chakraborty.
