Lt Governor Kiran Bedi has sought guidelines by the State Law Department to check mushrooming of unapproved layouts in the Union Territory.
She has directed her office to ask the Law Department and any other department to collect the recent judgment of the Madras High banning sale of unapproved plots in Puducherry.
She has also directed that the judgment be obtained and examined to issue appropriate guidelines without loss of time to check mushrooming of unauthorised layouts and further violations in the Union Territory.
Bedi has come out with the direction to her office through a twitter message today.
